The article for this issue surveys the response to emergency online teaching in the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Passages<\/strong>. We would like to welcome <strong>William S. Pearson<\/strong> as a new co-editor. Will has already been working with EJ for a number of years as a copyeditor, but took a furlough to finish up his dissertation. Welcome back, Will! Furthermore, both co-editors of our Book Review Section, <strong>Catherine<\/strong> <strong>Showalter <\/strong>and <strong>Alyssa Kermad<\/strong> intend to step down in the near future. Please see the Call for Book Review Co-Editors below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>A new, free book! <\/strong>We\u2019re pleased to announce the publication of&nbsp;<em>English Language Teaching in Latin America,<\/em>&nbsp;edited by <strong>Paul Davies<\/strong>.&nbsp;This book contains a collection of articles published in an ELT magazine-style website that Paul ran from August 2018 to July 2020,&nbsp;<em>English Language Teaching in Latin America<\/em>, or&nbsp;<em>ELTinLA.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This volume is available as a free PDF from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tesl-ej.org\/wordpress\/books\/\">our books page on the TESL-EJ website.<\/a> Paperback and Kindle versions will be available soon on Amazon.com or your local national Amazon site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Buying paperback books helps keep TESL-EJ running ad-free. Robb, Ph.D.<br>For the editorial team<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a name=\"call\"><\/a><\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<h3>Call for Book Review Co-Editors<\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>TESL-EJ <\/em>seeks two co-editors for its Book Review Section. <\/strong>As with all positions on <em>TESL-EJ<\/em>, these are volunteer positions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive unsolicited submissions of books (approximately 15-20 per year) not previously reviewed on TESL-EJ.<\/li>\n<li>Work with the author to develop an informative review of a recently published book, pointing out its strengths and weaknesses, as well as the contribution that it makes to the field.<\/li>\n<li>Edit versions of submissions and the final submission 1) for clarity of expression and 2) formatting\/mechanics.<\/li>\n<li>Submit the review to both the <em>TESL-EJ <\/em>Editor and Technical Editor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prospective co-editors can view the submission requirements and procedure at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tesl-ej.org\/wordpress\/sub_howto\/review-policy\">Book Review Policy<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please provide a brief description (200-250 words) outlining your qualifications for this position, including a discussion of any relevant experience.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Send your application materials from the point above, as well as a recent CV, to the current Co-Editors, Catherine Showalter (<a href=\" mailto:ceshowal@ncsu.edu\">adkermad@cpp.edu<\/a>) and Alyssa Kermad.
