Welcome to Issue 10.1 of TESL-EJ. As always, we have an engaging and thought-provoking set of articles, columns, and reviews.<\/p>\n<p>As you may be aware, the TOEFL<sup>&reg;<\/sup> Test is in the process of a dramatic change. For the first time, speaking is among the skills tested. Dean Papajohn addresses this issue in &#8220;Standard Setting for the Next Generation TOEFL Academic Speaking Test (TAST).&#8221; Roger Kenworthy also looks at the writing process in &#8220;Timed Versus At-Home Assessment Tests: Does Time Affect the Quality of Second Language Learners&#8217; Written Compositions?&#8221;  Finally, Elizabeth Margaret Ellis looks at ESL\/EFL instructors&#8217; experience with learning a second language and its effect on their teaching.
