We are pleased to announce the publication of issue 6.4 of TESL-EJ.<\/p>\n
With this issue, we finish the sixth volume of TESL-EJ. This issue has a strong focus on the Influence of the Internet on teaching and learning.The lead articles, “An Interactive Information Literacy Course for International Students: A Practical Blueprint for ESL Learners,” by John W. Bagnole & John W. Miller and “Cross-Cultural E-Mail Correspondence for Reflective EFL Teacher Education” by Meei-Ling Liaw, demonstrate the power of the Internet and collaborative work both for instructors and students.<\/p>\n
Of course, we have the usual complement of reviews and columns, including an “On the Internet” column by Gavin Dudeney about the use of Webquests in teaching.<\/p>\n
We are striving to maintain a quarterly publication schedule, but our efforts are being hampered by an insufficient number of manuscript reviewers. We invite qualified colleagues to volunteer their services.<\/p>\n
Finally, please note that the URL of the Berkeley site has changed slightly to: http:\/\/writing.berkeley.edu\/TESL-EJ\/<\/a>. This new URL is a little simpler than the previous one, but the old URL will still work.<\/p>\n We hope you enjoy this issue of TESL-EJ. <\/p>\n Maggie Sokolik
