Dear Readers,
Here we are already at issue number 90! Just two and a half more years (since we publish quarterly) for us to celebrate our 100th. Please let us know if you have an inspiration about how we might celebrate it! We would like to make it special.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank a team of unsung heros at TESL-EJ — the copyeditors. As you know, we select articles on the merit of their content, not on the elegance of their English, in order to allow scholars from around the world to share their insights into ELT. The copyeditors are the people who, once it has been approved by the editor and co-editors for publication, take the manuscript and refine the language. The current copy editors, headed by managing editor, Seyed Abollah Sharockni are:
- József Horváth
Iris Levitis
Golrokh Maleki
William S. Pearson
Anna-Karin Roo
Masood Raee Sharif
Laura Baecher and Kristen Lindahl, editors of our forthcoming special issue on “Study Abroad”, report that they have received a large number of submissions from all over the world, focused on both English learners engaging in study abroad as well as ones describing study abroad for English language teachers to experience practice teaching and learning about English teaching in different contexts. There will be about 8 pieces in the final issue which give a sense of the design, study, and impact of study abroad in the field of TESL.
We look forward to hearing your own suggestions for future special issues!
Thomas N. Robb, Ph.D.
